Client Update – 31 January 2023

24/7 website uptime monitoring

We now provide 24/7 automatic website uptime monitoring service for all our clients. We will inform you whenever your website uptime % falls below 99% with the source of the incident so that you can quickly implement the necessary fixes.

Website uptime is one of the most crucial metrics to monitor outside of your ad campaigns, mainly if your website is essential for generating revenue for your business. If customers cannot access your website, all the work and effort you put into getting a website up and running can be gone.

The uptime of a website also reflects how reliable the company is. If a website is often down, customers will lose trust in the company and may take their business elsewhere.

With our 24/7 website uptime monitoring, we will track when and how long your website has been unavailable to customers. You no longer have to worry!

N-grams exclusions in the search file

Your search terms exclusions file will now automatically exclude N-gram keywords.

What is an N-gram analysis?

We use N-Gram analysis to ensure that your search terms exclusions are richer and more effective.

An N-Gram analysis analyzes your search query data and groups the different phrases. For example, a 1-gram keyword is a single word, a 2-gram keyword is a two-word phrase, etc.

N-grams are incredibly effective ways to exclude a large group of search terms irrelevant to your business. For example, if your business completely doesn’t offer anything free, then blocking the keyword “free” is a powerful way of excluding all irrelevant possible queries stemming from the word “free” instead of blocking “free shipping, free warranty, free returns…” and so on.

New timestamp in Customer Data File

There will now be an automatic timestamp on your customer data file sheets to let you know when was the last time you updated your customer list.

Expanded agency negative keyword lists

Lastly, we have added 200+ new keywords of frequently searched parks and tourism spots in Singapore, and new government-related keywords into our negative keyword lists. We find that these are commonly searched terms among Singaporeans that can trigger your ads by accident. All these keywords will be automatically excluded from your ads accounts if deemed appropriate.

We now have over 18 negative keyword lists at the agency level that are actively maintained and continuously improved on. With nearly 5000 pre-qualified keywords to help reduce muda (Japanese term for wastefulness), making it one of the most robust keyword lists in the world.

In the future

Below are the upcoming updates we plan to work on. All of these are yet to be confirmed, and changes may be made.

Ad strength script

We plan to add a new advanced script to our management that will quickly highlight ad strengths in your accounts for optimization. Ad strength is an important metric in Google Ads as it lets you know if your ads are sending the right message to your customers.

The advertisers who improve their Ad Strength for responsive search ads, from “Poor” to “Excellent”, can see approximately 9 percent more clicks and conversions on average.

Your ads are still being optimized now. However, this new script aims to make the optimization process much leaner and faster.

A custom banner library

We are looking to add a library of readily available, high-performing banner ads of various standard ad platform sizes (1:1, 4:5, 1.91:1) to be quickly used inside your Google and Meta ads accounts.

These banner ads will be pre-qualified and pre-designed by us, put to be ready for future use. This ensures that minimal lead time is required for designing banner ads, and we can provide a higher quality of service, especially for our Meta Ads clients.
